Licensed professional counselor and board-certified dance therapist, Dee Wagner, started creating a book of exercises to help herself with the intense sensations she experienced when she started online dating. Dee and free-lance journalist, Kathy Jernigan, work together at The Link Counseling Center in Atlanta where they began trading notes about online dating.

Dee met artist and designer John Cargile on OkCupid. He joined the writing team to bring a male perspective and to add his creative doodles that sit at the top of each page designated for journal entries. The drawings encourage readers to draw as well as write. Dee explains that drawing helps people get in touch with the more primitive emotions that are often stirred in online dating.

Kathy's continued online dating experience as well as Dee's work with clients that use online dating sites helped to fine-tune the material for the book. Kathy's former work for the FBI brought some perspective to the online dating scam factor.

These three authors combine their experience and talent to offer techniques of mindfulness anchored in social science theory.
